From Nepali Wool to Finished Yarn
From the Himalayas to finished rugs crafted with care
Our Nepali wool story begins in high-altitude regions, where herders care for sheep whose dense fleece is naturally suited to harsh Himalayan conditions. The wool is then carefully sorted, cleaned, carded, and prepared for rug making with close attention to texture, quality, and responsible sourcing.
- Sustainable grazing practices help support pasture regeneration and soil health
- Long-standing herding relationships contribute to local income and community resilience
- High-quality wool ensures durable, warm, and richly textured rugs built for long-term use
Sustainable Materials
Natural fibers connecting craftsmanship, comfort, and environmental responsibility.
Plant-based and animal fibers are carefully selected for their tactile quality, durability, and lower environmental impact. Each material choice reflects a considered approach to sourcing, balancing performance with sustainability and a deep connection to Nepalese craft traditions.
Nettle
Harvested and processed with traditional skill, nettle enables plant-based rug construction with a naturally expressive texture and a unique tactile quality.
Wool
Nepali wool delivers resilience, warmth, and enduring comfort, forming the foundation of handmade rugs designed for everyday use.
