Custom Rug Manufacturing: From Your Brief to Finished Production
NP Rugs produces fully custom rugs to trade specifications. Interior designers, hospitality buyers, and importers submit a design brief – we handle construction, materials, compliance documentation, and delivery from our Kathmandu facility.
How It Works
Three Steps from Brief to Delivery
Every order starts with a brief and ends with a finished rug shipped from our Boudha facility. No intermediaries, no resellers.
Start a Custom OrderSubmit Your Brief
Share your design intent - a sketch, reference image, colour palette, or detailed specification sheet. Provide your required size, construction method, pile height, material preference, and target knot density. We assign a production coordinator to your brief and confirm feasibility within 48 hours.
We work from hand-drawn sketches, Photoshop files, physical swatches, or verbal descriptions. If you have it, send it.
Design Confirmation and Pricing
Your coordinator prepares colour-matched yarn swatches, a digital layout, and a line-item cost estimate. You approve every specification - construction method, pile depth, weave technique, yarn type, and dimensions - before production begins. No production starts without written sign-off.
Production and Delivery from Kathmandu
Your rug enters our Boudha weaving facility. Artisans handle yarn selection, natural dyeing, weaving, washing, trimming, and quality finishing. You receive a pre-shipment quality report before dispatch. GoodWeave and Label STEP compliance documentation is included with every order that requires it.
