As a consortium partner in the project, NP Rug has established a weaving workshop in Sarlahi and trained above 100 artisans. The workshop in Sarlahi follows all of the Ten standards of fair-trade and due diligence. Most of the workers in our workshops belong to disadvantaged and marginalized group.
It is women led and provides employment opportunities to women in the rural parts of Nepal, supporting and empowering them to achieve social and economic self-reliance. We offer the best rugs of rural Nepal to the world. We are reaching out to the remote rural areas and established bonds with the village communities so that they can start weaving not only rugs but also their own lives.
